These terms and conditions are a part of our reservation agreement with you whether booking directly with Navini Island Resort or via a travel agent/online travel website. Navini may review these terms and conditions from time to time.
Navini Island Resort offers a boutique holiday experience. With limited space, we treat each booking as a firm commitment. It is challenging to replace a booking on short notice; therefore, our terms are firm. Your understanding is appreciated.
Navini strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to cover situations such as flight changes, illness, cyclones, or other unexpected circumstances that may result in the penalties incurred due to the cancellation or partial cancellation of your booking.
Rates
Rates are quoted in Fijian dollars and are valid until December 31, 2025 (or as otherwise stated in your quote). Navini reserves the right to review rates in the event of changes in government policies.
Confirmation
Confirmation of booking requires a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit as stated. Payment can be made by credit or debit card (Visa or MasterCard), or direct debit. Card payments incur a non-refundable card fee of 2.6%. Direct debits will incur bank charges. On receipt of payment, a confirmation of booking will be sent, including your booking number. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival, or 90 days for group bookings. 100% payment is required when booking within 60 days.
Navini reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received in full by the specified time.
Cancellation, amendment, no-show, unused nights, leaving early
Cancellations must be in writing and confirmed by Navini. Cancellations received between 31 and 60 days before arrival will result in a 60% forfeiture of the package cost. Cancellations made 30 days or less before the expected arrival are non-refundable.
This includes amendments, no-shows, unused or reduced nights, unexpected illness, injury, or death in the family, flight disruptions, cyclones or severe storms, or other reasons beyond control.
Group bookings for four or more bures
Cancellations made 61 to 90 days before the expected arrival date will be offered for resale. Complete forfeiture of the payments will apply to the space that remains unsold at the end of this period.
Cancellations or amendments made 60 days or less before the expected arrival date are non-refundable.
Natural disruptions, severe weather, cyclones
Under extreme conditions, such as a cyclone or severe storm, it may be necessary to postpone or cancel a boat transfer. Alternate arrangements will be made until the transfer is possible.
Cancellations or amendments of bookings due to cyclones or other severe natural disasters in Fiji are non-refundable. Guests affected during their stay who are relocated or accommodated at a mainland hotel are responsible for paying the mainland hotel directly for any charges, such as accommodation, meals or extra transfers incurred.
Navini Island Resort will provide a letter for the guest to claim travel insurance for the cancellation of their stay, stating the reasons.
If Navini chooses to close the Resort due to damage from a natural disaster, the guest will be refunded in full for the part of their stay that has been affected by this closure. Arrival guests who are unable to stay due to the Resort closure will be refunded in full, or payments received can be held as a travel credit to be used within 12 months.
Force majeure events
If not travelling as a result of a deadly pandemic, government action, national or local emergency, civil commotion, riot, war, or other force majeure events beyond control, payments made can be held as a travel credit to be used within 12 months. For refunds, a fee will apply.
Refunds
Any refunds will be processed within 21 working days of the Resort accepting this obligation. Navini Island Resort reserves the right not to pursue with a refund if the claimant provides any refuting information.
Bure layouts and plans
Images and plans shown on our website or other promotional materials may differ slightly from the actual layout.
Bedding
The rates are inclusive of all people as stated under the bure type and package. There will be one king bed in the Deluxe Premier. Premier have a queen and a single bed. Two Room Bure have a queen bed and up to 3 single beds for a family. Family Villa has a king and a queen bed, as well as up to 4 single beds. On request, a baby cot can be included instead of a single bed in the Two Room or Family Villa. No further bedding can be added in any categories.
Children
Children of all ages are welcome here on Navini. Often, there are children around school holiday periods, and outside of these times, most of our guests are couples. Children are accommodated in our Two Room Bures and Family Villa. Parents are personally responsible for their children at all times. Child minding is available for a charge, but we do not have a kids’ club. Children must be accompanied by their parent/s for all boat trips and water activities, including swimming. There are no lifeguards. Special children’s menus are available. Children’s dinner is served at 6:00 pm, with family dinners at 6:30 pm. From 7 pm, the dining room is for adults only (except for Fijian Night).
Dining room and duty-free beverages
The dining room has a licensed bar offering a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Navini does not allow BYO alcohol, except for the duty-free allowance of spirits or wine to enjoy in the privacy of your bure. Any additional alcohol brought in will be removed and returned to you on your departure.
Personal music and tranquility
For the comfort of all guests, noise is to be kept at a respectful low level. Wear headphones when playing music in public areas to avoid disturbing others. We appreciate your consideration.
Smoking, candles and cooking appliances
All indoor and public areas are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is possible outside, away from other guests. Any cooking appliance, as well as the burning of candles, fireworks, and other open flames, is prohibited.
Drones
Due to privacy and safety concerns, the use of remotely piloted aircraft systems (drones) on or above Navini Island are prohibited. Should this be required for commercial purposes, guests will be advised in advance and discretion will apply.
Acceptable behaviour
Navini shall be entitled to refuse a guest entry or accommodation or to require a guest to leave the premises if unreasonable behaviour is displayed, be it threatening or abusive, causing disturbance to other guests or otherwise unacceptable.
Pets may not be brought onto the Resort except for guide dogs.
Responsibility
Navini Island Resort Pte Ltd (Navini) strongly recommends that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, particularly during cyclone season.
All care is taken; however, by making a booking, it is agreed that Navini shall not be liable and accepts no responsibility for any personal injuries, damages, loss, or theft of property incurred during your stay with us and/or while participating in any of our activities.
Should Navini make bookings on behalf of guests with third-party suppliers for services such as but not limited to transfers, diving and fishing, the Resort is only acting as a booking agent and will not be liable for the services provided by such suppliers, or liable for any damage, injury, theft or loss of any kind.
